Past revolutions relied heavily on carbon fuels as a ‘free’ source of energy. The consequent accumulation of untreated CO2 in the atmosphere is taking us back to harsher times – unstable climate, extreme weather and unpredictable events – threatening our infrastructure and lifestyles.
Nature recycles CO2, but only slowly and only if wood is not used again as a fuel. Returning photosynthetically captured carbon to the soil is one of several ways we can assist the planet to more stable times.
